Treatments offered by The Scalp Micropigmentation Center
SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation): This treatment involves the application of thousands of permanent, simulated hair follicles to the scalp using a tattoo gun and specialized and customized inks and needles. This type of treatment cannot be completed using classical tattoo guns, inks and needles, and should only be performed by a well training SMP Artist. The look and final results of this treatment is the look and appearance of a freshly shaved head of hair or what is commonly called a Buzz Cut. If done correctly, by a specially training SMP Artist, no one will be able to tell the difference between your natural hair follicles and the simulated hair follicles.
SMP HD (Hair Density): This treatment involves the same procedure as SMP, however, this treatment is for those Men and Women with thinning hair do to hair loss or after having a hair transplant. The process involves adding thousands of pigmented hair follicles to the scalp in-between the natural hair follicles and hair strands. This prevents light from hitting the scalp, thus giving the appearance of a fuller and denser head of hair. This is a great alternative treatment to using fibers and powders to cover the scalp on a daily basis or the use of wigs or systems to cover the bald spots.
SMP SC (Scar Camouflage): This treatment is for those Men and Women who have scalp scars from medical treatments, hair transplants or injury scars. This process also involves the application of thousands of pigmented hair follicles on the scalp, but done in such a way that we are able to camouflage or blend in the scar into your natural hair follicles. This should only be done by an experienced SMP Artist because we have seen the results of inexperienced SMP Artists who only accentuate the scar and make it more visible.
